2005 Exam

Dates:

  • Last date for Issuing of application:
    • Through post: 25th January 2005
    • In person : 31st January 2005
  • Last date for receipt of filled in application : 5th February 2005
  • Entrance Test will be held in Bangalore on : 3rd April2005
  • Commencement of the Courses:
    • PG Medical and Non-Medical courses :2nd May 2005
    • Super specialty courses : 1st August 2005
  • Last date for admission of candidates selected to PG Medical & Non Medical Courses: 9th May 2005
    Super specialty Courses : 8th August2005

    Incomplete applications and applications without enclosures will be rejected. Applications received after the due date will not be considered.

Instructions:

  • Application forms and Prospectus can be obtained from the Director, NIMI- on request by mentioning the course and enclosing a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (non-refundable) (Rs.400/- In case of SC/ST candidates) drawn In favor of the “Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore-580029” , along with a self addressed stamped envelope (25cm x l8cm) affixing stamp worth Rs.20/-
     
  • Application forms and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website http://www.nimhans.kar.nic.in/
  • Candidates may apply for more than one course provided they are eligible.
  • Candidates applying for one or more medical courses can apply in the same application. Candidates applying for Non Medical courses should apply on separate application for each course.
  • Foreign Nationals are required to submit their applications through the Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). They shall also appear for the Common Entrance Test along with the other candidates.
    Sponsored candidates should submit their applications through proper channel and they should also appear for the Common Entrance Test.
     
  • AGE UM For PG Medical and Super-specialty courses the upper age limit is 30 years for MBBS degree holders and 35 years for PG Medical degree holders relaxable in case of SC/ST Candidates by a maximum of 5 years. The upper age limit is 40 years in case of sponsored candidates.
     
  • Duly filled in application for all courses should be sent to: The Director, NIMHANS, P.B.No.2900, Bangalore-560 029 along with a Demand Draft drawn In favor of
    The Director NIMHANS, Bangalore -560 029.
     
  • Registration fees is Rs.500/- per Course & for every additional course, Rs.500/-. Eg. A Candidate applying for one Course should enclose DD for Rs.500/-, two courses Rs.1 000/-, three Rs.1500/-…..so on.
     

Common for all Courses:
The qualifying degrees/diplomas for all the above mentioned courses should be from a recognized University/Heard or from any ether University recognized as equivalent thereto by NIMHANS. For medical qualification the degree should be recognized by the Medical Council of India.

‘The Candidates should have obtained not less than 55% of Marks in the aggregate of the Masters degree for non-medical courses.”

A relaxation of 5% on the aggregate of marks obtained will be given for non-medical and Ph.D courses in respect of SC/ST candidatesApplications downloaded from the webs should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (non-refundable), (Rs.400/- In case of SC/ST candidates) plus Registration fee Indicated as above.
