Use of one of the following vaccination is absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy ?
A) Hepatitis-B
B) Cholera
C) Rabies
D) Yellow fever
Answer given D.
Cholera vaccine is a killed vaccine.
Hep B vaccine contains one of the viral envelope proteins, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg).
Live vaccines are contraindicated in pregnancy.
Rabies, Yellow fever are live vaccines.
But CDC site https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/preg-guide.htm says the risks and benefits need to be wieghed for last two. None is absolutely contraindicated.
Whats the opinion guys?
