3 month infant with otitis media was given cotrimoxazole.few days later he developed extensive peeling of skin.no mucosal lesions and baby was not toxic.most likely diagnosis :-
1.toxic epidermal necrolysis.
2.staphyloccocal scalded skin syndr
3.stevens johnson syndr
4.infantile pemphigus

ans is 3. stevens johnson syndrome . it is a side effect of cotrimoxazole. moreover the question says the baby isnt toxic and SSSS is associated with toxic symptoms.
