EXAMINATION FEE STRUCTURE

The fee is payable only through a bank draft/pay order issued fromNationalized Bank drawn in favour of NATIONAL BOARD OFEXAMINATIONS payable at New Delhi, along with the applicationform by the last date as specified in the Bulletin of Information.

ii) Internet Downloaded forms Rs. 500/-
Note: Internet Downloaded forms to be accompanied with form feesof Rupees Five Hundred Only.Absentees from the examination will forfeit their examinationfee.Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully andsatisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria.FEES SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD IFTHE APPLICATION FOR DNB: CET IS REJECTED/CANDIDATURE ISFOUND TO BE INELIGIBLE

Eligibility
a. Indian Degrees: Candidates who posess medical degrees fromIndian Universities recognized as per provisions of Indian MedicalCouncil Act 1956 and possess provisional or permanent registrationcertificate issued by Medical Council of India/State Medical Counciland have completed one year of internship on or before the lastdate of submission of the application form i.e. 31st August 2007.

b. Foreign Degrees: Candidates who posess degrees from foreignuniversities and possess provisional or permanentregistrationcertificate issued by Medical Council of India/State MedicalCouncil and have completed one year of internship on or before thelast date of submission of the application form (31st August 2007)can also apply for December 2007examination.c . Submission of Internship Completion Certificate and Certificate ofRegistration on Permanent/Provisional basis with MCI/SMC is anessential pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submitthe Internship Completion & Registration Certificate with theapplication form, his/her application shall be rejected and feesforfeited.

Pattern of Examination CET-NBE will comprise of a written test of post MBBS standard.The examination will include all subjects taught during the MBBS courseincluding pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical.Approximate weightage given to each subject in the two papers is asstated below, the same is purely representative in nature.Paper-1 Basic Sciences and Community MedicineAnatomy - 24Physiology - 30Biochemistry - 12Pathology - 24Microbiology - 24Pharmacology - 24Forensic Medicine - 12Community Medicine/SPM - 30Total 180Paper-2 Clinical SciencesMedicine including Psychiatry,Dermatology and Venereology - 45Paediatrics - 15Surgery including OrthopaedicsAnaesthesiology, Radio-diagnosisand Radiotherapy - 60Obstetrics and Gynaecology - 30Ophthalmology - 15ENT - 15Total 180Each paper will have 180 Single Response Multiple ChoiceQuestions. A response sheet (OMR) will be given with the questionpaper. The Response sheet for this section contains 180 boxes.Each box refers to a single item and is numbered accordingly.Please remember that there is only one single correct responseto each item. One correct response is equal to one mark,whereas, one incorrect response shall lead to deduction of0.25 marks. Indicate the correct response by darkening theappropriate Circles with black or blue ballpoint pen. Use of Pencilfor marking on OMR sheet is prohibited. Use of Pencil willlead to cancellation of Paper.124.3

Declaration of CET-NBE ResultsThe result will be sent to the Candidates individually by post and theresults can also be seen on website www.natboard.edu.in or at the(Ansari Nagar) office of the Board.The certificates of result are sent to candidates by POST/SPEEDPOST only. Under normal circumstances the certificates of passingare dispatched to the candidates within four weeks of declarationof the result of CET examination, however, due to unforeseencircumstances, this period may vary.

Admission to DNB Programme : The Results of CET are declaredas ‘‘QUALIFIED”/‘‘NOT QUALIFIED” only. Candidates ‘‘NOTQUALIFIED” are not eligible for entry to DNB Programmes whereDNB CET is mandatory requirement.‘‘QUALIFIED” Candidates can seek admission within 2 years ofqualifying DNB Exam (i.e. Two years from date of declaration ofCET results) failing which they need to reappear & qualify CET again.Candidates are advised not to canvass or approach the Board for handingover the result certificate.Candidates declared successful in CET-NBE examinations will directlycontact the institution(s)/hospital(s)/Medical Colleges for admission forgetting required training/admission to DNB programme The list ofinstitutes accredited for DNB training is placed at Annexure IV.Guidelines for admission to DNB programme are given in section
